Our Story

We, Chad and Mike, are just two normal bros from SATX (San Antonio, TX) who dig a good lid and like to help those being overlooked.

In 2017, during a mission trip to Guatemala, we had the crazy idea to start our own cap company after we discovered our mutual affinity for headwear and humans.

We didn’t know much but knew we wanted the caps to be fresh, affordable, empowering, diverse, a representation of our great city and, most importantly, we wanted them to bring awareness and support to a cause we were both passionate about: slamming the door on commercial sex trafficking and empowering those who have ever felt like they were kept in a cage. 

So, in August of 2018 we did a little dream chasing and launched GrayBird Cap Co. (with the permission of our wives, of course).  

And that’s the story. Nothing fancy. Just a couple of dudes trying to give life to your melon while showing some love to a rad non-profit doing big things (Ransomed Life.) We’d love for your cap to be a conversation starter on a topic that needs more conversing about.
